Our Story
Sawasdee,
Maysa Thai Restaurant has been warmly welcoming guests in Wolli Creek since May 3rd, 2023. Inspired by Thai cuisine and heritage, and infused with the vibrant spirit of April—Thailand's hottest month known as "Maysa" (เมษายน) — we celebrate the energy and joy of this special season. This time beautifully aligns with Songkran, Thailand’s New Year, a time for families and friends to gather, share memories, and celebrate in a warm, festive atmosphere.
Inside, you'll find a wall adorned with handcrafted artwork. The paintings, created with dedication by talented artists, blend traditional Thai themes with modern touches—evoking the lively processions of Songkran. Our plates and bowls, handcrafted locally in Thailand, reflect care and passion — small details inspired by creativity and love, echoing and reminding us that whatever we do, doing our best and with love is the true essence of art itself.
At Maysa, we aim to capture the festive spirit in every dish, serving authentic flavors that honor Thailand’s rich culinary traditions. Beyond our food, we share the warmth of genuine Thai hospitality, We hope your visit to Maysa turns a simple meal into a memorable celebration of culture, community, and joy — where the beauty of art, tradition, and hospitality come in harmony.

“When you acknowledge, as you must, that there is no such thing as perfect food, only the idea of it, then the real purpose of striving toward perfection becomes clear: to make people happy, that is what cooking is all about.”
